Short version: no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no ads and no cookies of ours. Your saved list and your location stay on your device.

Who runs this site

eat852 is run by L.A. LAB, a web studio in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. For anything on this page, email [email protected].

What we collect

Nothing through the site itself. There is no sign-up, no newsletter form, no comment box, and no analytics or advertising script. We do not set cookies.

What stays on your device

• Tonight’s list. Places you save, and the list’s name, are kept in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us. Clear the list, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to remove them.
• Near me. When you tap it, your browser asks whether to share your location. If you allow it, the page uses it to sort places by distance, on your device. It is not sent to us or stored.

Services the pages use

Loading a page means your browser also connects to these services, which see your IP address and browser details:

• Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs for security and to keep it running.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces.
• Esri (ArcGIS) serves the map tiles on map pages.

“Open in Google Maps” and restaurant links take you to other sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you are there.

When you email us

We get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and, for a place update, to correct the guide. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list. Ask us and we will delete the conversation.

Your rights

We are based in Malaysia and follow its Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Wherever you live, including Hong Kong and Macau, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Since the site itself collects none, this usually means only emails you have sent us. Write to [email protected].

Changes

If we ever add analytics, advertising or a form, we will update this page before it goes live and change the date at the top.
